After welcoming attendees, brief introductions will be made. Kirstin Cronn-Mills will then read a passage of her choosing from the book followed by a presentation by E. Eero Johnson (Erik T. Johnson) on creating the graphic panels for the book. The next portion of the event will include an interview with the authors. Audience members will have an opportunity to submit questions to the authors throughout the interview. The event will wrap-up with a discussion about future creative endeavors. A drawing for a copy of the book autographed by both authors will conclude the event.
1. Both--Were the text and graphic panels created in tandem or concurrently?
2. Both--Were the graphic panels created as enhancements or as a means to guide the reader through the story?
3. Both--What factors were considered when deciding how the storyline was to move between text and graphics?

1. Kirstin--What aspect of writing the story was the most challenging? Erik--What aspect of creating the graphic panels was the most challenging?
2. In the book Uncle Epic is based on a famous street artist--Banksy. Kirstin--Are any other characters based on a real life person? Erik--Are any of the characters visually modeled after a real life person?
3. The arts--visual arts as well as performing arts--assume a prominent presence in the story. Kirstin-- What part of the story do you think best reflect your thoughts on how the arts influence or impact our lives? Erik--Which graphic panel do you think bests expresses your thoughts on the role of the arts in people's lives?
4. Kirstin--What ideas would you like readers to take-away or ponder? Erik--Which graphic panels would you like readers to recall or examine more closely?

1. Kirstin--You have written young adult novels where the arts have been central to the development of the storyline--the visual and performing arts in Original Fake and music in Beautiful Music for Ugly Children. Is there another art form you will be incorporating as part of the storyline in a future novel?
2. Erik--You have funded the publication of two of your books on Kickstarter--The Outliers and Kozmo-Knot. Original Fake was published by a mainstream publisher. Which publishing option do you prefer and why?
