Viewing Options for Accessing & Using Permalinks in Checkpoint EDGE

The permalink feature allows you to generate a permanent link directly to a document or document section. Save this link when you wish to create a bookmark, shortcut, or include a link to Checkpoint content in a reference. The "Show Permalinks" icon can be accessed from the toolbar located at the top of the document screen.

NOTE: When accessing content from Checkpoint EDGE via a permalink, you must be logged in using your Checkpoint personal account ID.

To create a permalink:

  1. Open the document to which you want to link.
  2. On the document toolbar, click the "Show Permalinks" icon. Any permalinks in the document will display.
  3. Select the permalink icon for the document or section of the documnt you want to save. After clicking on the desired permanent document link (permalink icon)  a window will open and display the permalink URL.
  4. Copy and paste the URL to a document or browser to save the permalink.
  5. Click "Close" to close the window.
