Accessing Capital IQ

Using either the Google Chrome or Microsoft EDGE browser, access the S&P Capital IQ login page:

https://www-capitaliq-com.ezproxy.mnsu.edu/CIQDotNet/Registration/signup.aspx

When prompted, enter your StarID and StarID password.

Click on the "New User?" link located on the top menu bar.

Enter your MavMail email address -- firstname.lastname@mnsu.edu -- in the text box. Do not enter your username for two-factor authentication -- StarID@go.minnstate.edu.

After clicking on "Submit," instructions for setting up your account will be sent to the MavMail email address you provided. If no email is received within ten minutes, check that the submitted address is correct. Also check your junk/spam email folder.

Open the "New User Sign Up" email sent to you from ClientSupport@capitaliq.com. Click on the "Register to Access S&P Capital IQ" link. 

As instructed, enter the requested information.

When prompted to "Choose your department" -- select "Students -- Class of XXXX.

After clicking on "Register," a second email from ClientSupport@capitaliq.com welcoming you to the S&P Capital IQ platform will be sent. If you did not receive this email, once again check your junk/spam email folder.

Open the "Welcome to the S&P Capital IQ platform" email. It is important to save this email for it identifies you User Account ID.

To set your password, click on the  supplied link.

After setting your password, you are now able to log in to Capital IQ.
