It is possible to modify your search so as to decrease (narrow) or increase (broaden) the number of search results you retrieve. To decrease the number of search results retrieved, focus your search by using more specific keywords or limiting by various criteria before or after searching (e.g., publication date, peer reviewed, language, etc.). To increase the number of search results retrieved, use more general keywords in your search or do not limit your search by using various criteria. Using Boolean operators can also narrow or broaden a search. To help you with narrowing or broadening a search for information on your topic, provided below are two brief tutorials.
