Looking at the target image through the app (either printed or on-screen), viewers see a detailed three-dimensional model of the human body and can select female or male. Systems that can be viewed on or off are integumentary, muscular, skeletal, circulatory, nervous, gastrointestinal, respiratory, reproductive, urinary, and lymphatic systems.

BodyMaps is an interactive visual search tool that allows users to explore the human body in 3-D with detailed anatomical images alongside links to relevant and useful health information. Users can search multiple layers of the human anatomy, view systems and organs down to their smallest parts, and understand in detail how the human body works.

The iOS app, "BodyMaps" (purchase required by the user) has a full set of 30 retina display, rotatable 3D models for both the male and female body, definitions, videos and a mark-up feature, and is a must have reference tool for students and practicing clinicians. You can also freeze the screen on any rotatable model, mark-up the image and share it with patients or colleagues
