The purpose of this course is to introduce you to specific psychological theories and research that have been applied to, or relate to, the United States legal system. Specifically, you will:
· Describe the basic procedures of the U.S. legal system
· Identify the aspects of the research process and its role in answering empirical questions
· Apply psychological theories and research findings to evaluating those procedures
· Independently research and present information on course topics
· Improve your writing, speaking, and discussing skills
