At Memorial Library, we call the search interface MavScholar.
MavScholar can be useful in two different ways:
Keyword searching at the beginning of a new project.
Getting access (or seeing if the library provides access) to a known item.
After completing a search, you are able to narrow down search results using the filters provided. Some of the more useful filters are:
Scholarly & Peer-reviewed (another way to describe primary literature).
Online/Full-text (when you know you want electronic materials only).
Publication date (sometimes an instructor will require resources newer than a certain date).
