Affordable Textbook Initiative

The library is always looking for ways to help students and faculty.  One way is through our Affordable Textbook Initiative, aimed at providing access to some textbooks in both print and digital formats.

Library Services Providing Textbook Options for Many Courses

Library Services is working to support your courses this Fall with expanded textbook options.

Our goal is to help ensure that more students have access to assigned course readings. We are acquiring eBook versions of some assigned textbooks as well as providing print copies of selected textbooks via the Maverick Textbook Reserve program.   Please tell students eBook or Textbook Reserves are available for numerous courses.*  Sharing these affordable textbook options with your classes is a great way to ensure students have access to your course readings.

Maverick Textbook Reserve Program continues with an increased number of print copies and an expanded checkout period.

Visit our Library Reserves page to see if we have already added textbook options for your students. Textbooks are continuously added to the Library, contact your library liaison or use our Ask a Librarian service if you have questions or would like to know more.

*Many textbooks are not available for library purchase as an eBook, but we are acquiring what we can.  Learn more about the way Library Services can support your curriculum with Library and Open resources by visiting our Course Materials Support page.
