MavAPPS is a collection of software available to individuals on campus by signing in with your MavMAIL username and password.

Proprietary Software

Proprietary software is software that is licensed to users for a fee. Companies usually provide user support for their software. Graphical User Interfaces may be intuitive for new users. You may choose to invest in proprietary software if it better fits your research needs.

Open Source Software

Open source software is software that has been made freely available for people to use. It is less intuitive than proprietary software.Often times, a person has to have a high level of computer competency in order to use open source software.
