Open Educational Resources (OERs): MinnState OER Initiatives

The Network for Educational Development (NED) offers professional development on OER subjects, such as using Pressbooks and finding accessible materials, as well as monthly conversations led by faculty peers innovating with OER in their courses.

[Spring 2026 Applications due January 9] NED invites MinnState faculty to collaborate on redesigning courses with OER, create ancillary materials for an existing OER, or author their own open textbooks. Participants receive compensation for their work.

Minitex offers seasonal grants for faculty in Minnesota collaborating on OER at their institutions. Grant deliverables are set by applicants.

Course material support network funded by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. Includes guidance on academic technology, advocacy and leadership, and open pedagogy.
