Open Educational Resources (OERs): MinnState OER Initiatiives

System-wide MS Teams site containing information about OER events and resources and Z-Degrees. Select “Become a member” to receive weekly updates on upcoming events and chat with the MNSU community about OER.

The Network for Educational Development (NED) offers professional development on OER subjects, such as using Pressbooks and finding accessible materials, as well as monthly conversations led by faculty peers innovating with OER in their courses.

[Fall 2025 Application CLOSED] NED invites MinnState faculty to collaborate on redesigning courses with OER, create ancillary materials for an existing OER, or author their own open textbooks. Participants receive compensation for their work.

Minitex offers seasonal grants for faculty in Minnesota collaborating on OER at their institutions. Grant deliverables are set by applicants.

Course material support network funded by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. Includes guidance on academic technology, advocacy and leadership, and open pedagogy.
