- Authors of theses and dissertations must submit two copies to the library: one for the General Collection (or Lass Center for Minnesota Studies) and one for the University Archives.
- Always seek the copy in the General Collection/Lass Center for Minnesota Studies to check out. Copies in the University Archives cannot be checked out.
- Theses, dissertations, or alternate plan papers that focus on Minnesota will be found in the Lass Center for Minnesota Studies.
- Graduate students are no longer required to submit copies of alternative plan papers to the library, so the library will not have all alternative plan papers.
If you know the author's name of a thesis, dissertation or alternative plan paper, use the author's name to search and switch the dropdown from Search Everything to Catalog. Note: Some thesis or APP author's names may have changed. This is especially common with women who have taken their husbands' last names or couples that have chosen to hyphenate or create hybrid last names.
