Library Resources for International Students not in the US: Home

This guide contains links to resources to help international students use the library from where ever they are.

Library Services is here to help.

Library resources are available to you, no matter where you are in the world. Research assistance is just a click away

We encourage you to use our many remote services. The library has online access to millions of resources, including eBooks, articles, streaming audio and video, maps, and more. Explore the library's vast electronic collections through the Library Services homepage.

Find Sources Using MavScholar

Use the MavScholar search box below to find most, but not all, library items available at Minnesota State Mankato.

Find articles, books, videos & more

Limit Your Search to Online Materials

Use the filters in MavScholar to limit your search to online materials only (e.g. eBooks, online journal articles, streaming media).

Use the "online / full-text" filter to limit your search to electronic resources only

Course Readings and Textbooks

The library has some print or online course readings and textbooks. Visit our Textbook & Course Reserves page to see if we have materials for your class.

Electronic Access to Print Materials

International mail can take weeks, so we are unable to send you print materials. If you need a book or journal that is only available in print format, you can ask the library to scan up to three chapters and send them to you via email.

To request a chapter:

  1. Search for the book or journal title within MavScholar.
  2. Click on the book title.
  3. Find the Get It section under the title.
  4. Sign in to MavScholar with your StarID.
  5. Once signed in, select Hold.
  6. In the Comments form, explain the chapters or page numbers you need scanned and emailed.
  7. Click Send Request.
  8. You will receive the scanned pages via email within 24 hours. If the request is placed on a weekend, you will receive the pages on Monday.
