International Students

International Students will benefit from these basic tips on navigating the American academic library here.

Welcome

Unlike many international libraries, American libraries have open stacks, meaning you can just find books (2nd & 3rd floors) and check them out (first floor). Most academic libraries use the Library of Congress schemata to group similar books together. A-PN are on 2nd floor PQ-Z on third floor. Use the discovery tool to find specific call numbers for individual titles.
