This course explores the story of American Indian Country 1900 to Present from an Indigenist perspective. We will cover topics such as cross-cultural interactions, policy formation, cultural evolution, survival, and negotiation. Through readings, class exercises and assignments, students will become familiar with the larger themes of American Indian Country across time and space.
