This event will include film clips from the movie followed by a discussion led by Dr. Angele Jill Cooley, MSU History Professor.

The event is FREE and open to the public.  Refreshments will be provided.

This event will include an introduction by Dr. Angela Jill Cooley, MSU History Professor, film clips from the movie, and a moderated discussion led by Jenny Turner, MSU Librarian.

“Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle” is part of the Bridging Cultures initiative of the National Endowment for the Humanities developed in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.  A series of four acclaimed films, this educational initiative focuses on promoting public dialogue that explores the relationship between American law and American society within the context of the struggle for civil rights in America.
